Fee-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at CAMAT

Youth ages 6-18 living in Florida, may receive the Unified Protocol for Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents (UP-C/A) at a fee based on family income. Fee-based CBT at CAMAT may be offered for a maximum of 24 weeks (up to 6 months). Youth with a variety of emotional concerns (anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive symptoms) may be eligible for CBT through CAMAT. Families with marginalized identities may be eligible to receive 6 free sessions. Please note, youth ages 7-17 who reside in Miami-Dade County may be eligible for no-cost CBT. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at CAMAT

  • For families who are not eligible for (e.g., outside of Miami-Dade County) or not interested in no-cost CBT funded by The Children’s Trust, we offer fee-based individual treatment.
  • Fees are offered on a sliding scale and are based on family income. The fee for individual therapy ranges from $40 - $120 per session.
  • We are currently running a substantial wait time for fee-based services at CAMAT

6 Free Sessions

Youth and their family who have a minoritized identity and/or have been disadvantaged may be eligible to receive their intake appointment and six therapy sessions at no cost. Minoritized identities include but are not limitted to families of color and/or LGBTQ+ youth. After the first six sessions, treatment fees will be based on family income and established based on a sliding scale.

What to Expect:

  • After you complete the intial screening information linked above, eligible families will be contacted to schedule an initial evaluation at a fee based on a sliding scale.
  • The intial evaluation involves a diagnostic interview with children and parents to better understand presenting concerns. The evaluation may take place on either Zoom or in-person depending on family's preference.
    • For children younger than 8 years old, only parents participate in the evaluation.
  • At the time of the evaluation, families will complete intake paperwork and questionnaires before beginning treatment procedures. 
  • Following the evaluation, a feedback session will be scheduled to share diagnostic impressions and recommendations for treatment. 
    • If your family is not eligible for treatment at CAMAT, we will provide you with referrals for other providers. 
    • If your family is eligible for treatment at CAMAT, your intake clinician will share additional information about enrolling in therapy.
